Let's Start Building Value...Together

My first priority upon joining the company was to recruit and onboard human capital. People that have a strong track record for moving ideas into reality are critical to achieving success.

Fred Parker: President & COO

As a senior executive and top revenue driver with over 20 years of success, Fred has placed creative solutions at the heart of every business he’s had the opportunity to build. Throughout his career, he has strategically focused on maximizing topline and bottom-line growth by building sustainable revenue pipelines, driving market share, and targeting & acquiring complementary, cost-effective acquisitions.

As a result, Fred has achieved previous operational success as President and then CEO of A Brand Company. By establishing clear KPIs, streamlining processes, managing critical accounts, harnessing cross-functional insights, and leading high-impact teams to solve complex business problems, Fred successfully led the company from start up to >$80M in top line revenue. Fred’s innovative approach and commitment to excellence makes him a dynamic and effective leader in any business environment.

Fred truly enjoys every aspect of his career and is driven by the excitement that comes with growth and opportunity. Now that he’s joined The Barton Group, he’s committed to applying his skillset to take both the team and the company to the next level.

Fred attended the University of Kentucky (go Wildcats!) and has been a lifelong football fan and general sports enthusiast. He met his wife Amy while attending UK and they have 2 children, Alex & Elizabeth, and 2 goofy golden retrievers. Fred is an avid golfer, gardener, and loves hanging out with friends. Fred & Amy love to travel and when it is up to her, you can find them on the beach at Amelia Island in Florida.

As an individual who thrives on challenges, I’m excited to bring my past experience and sales knowledge to the CMO role at The Barton Group.

Caryn Dunayer: Chief Marketing Officer

Throughout her career, Caryn has proven success in the technology, marketing communications, and consumer goods spaces. With over 15 years of experience in operations, sales, marketing, advertising, and digital industries, Caryn’s career began at Hewlett Packard where she became proficient in IT, and hardware and software solutions.

Caryn then developed a passion for marketing and advertising while working as an Account Executive for the New York Times and the Hearst Corporation. Most recently, she co-founded cbdMD in 2017 where she grew the revenue from $0 to $2mm monthly within the first year. Caryn was acting President of the public company (NYSE America: YCBD) and scaled the business to $4mm+ in monthly revenue until retiring (for the first time) in 2020.

Motivated for a challenge, Caryn was excited to join the team at The Barton Group as CMO. She’s excited to learn a new industry and work with a wonderful team of “good humans.”

Caryn previously lived in Charlotte, NC but now resides in Florida. When she’s not working, you can find Caryn outside being active, exploring nature, playing sports, and traveling.

Working through complex business processes to create and implement procedures that activate well-informed, data driven decisions is where I thrive. I’m excited to bring these skills to The Barton Group and our Operating Companies.

Kristi Hayek: Director of Finance

With nearly 30 years of proven success, and a passion for attention to detail, efficiency, and accuracy, Kristi Hayek excels at working through complex business processes to create and implement procedures that activate well-informed, data driven decisions.

Before joining The Barton Group, Kristi held positions as Controller and Senior Financial Analyst at both established accounting firms and fast-paced startups such as Venturi Partners, Comsys Partners, Experis, BrandAlliance, CliftonLarsonAllen, and Bobbie Baby. Her proven experience in building accounting departments, navigating system implementations, audits and financial relationships in high-growth companies have made her a valued addition to the Barton Group family.

In addition to Kristi’s wealth of experience in the financial industry, her drive to discover actionable insights, appreciation for the family-owned nature of The Barton Group, and commitment to innovation have already led to major successes for the company. For example, implementing a robust reporting package, navigating financial relationships to support growth opportunities, driving efficiencies within the company, and focusing on processes that support workflow across teams to help promote team building and solid relationships.

Outside of her career, Kristi enjoys being involved in her church, Sports Outreach, and traveling the world with her husband and their two sons.

I’m excited to explore the vast opportunities this business presents and to work with a dynamic, cohesive team that sets the company apart from our competitors.

Pat Pritchett: VP of Operations

As the Vice President of Operations, Pat thrives on exploring the endless possibilities for innovation that come with the role. Pat brings over 15 years of experience in the flooring industry as the previous Director of Development for RollMaster and then Senior Product Manager with Broadlume.

With a proven track record in accounting, operations, and project/process management, Pat brings experience from various leadership positions including Director of Finance & IT, Operations Manager, Training Manager, Support Manager, and Senior Auditor. Throughout these various roles, his career has been defined by leading transformative changes at every phase of a business.

At The Barton Group, Pat is excited to explore the vast opportunities this business presents and to work with a dynamic, cohesive team that sets the company apart from our competitors.

Outside of his professional life, Pat cherishes time spent with his daughter Caitlyn, hiking, backpacking, kayaking, enjoying live music, and sampling craft beer.

Veronica is excited to shape the employee experience at the Barton Group from day one and foster a positive company culture that will set the foundation for future growth.

Veronica Salazar: Director of HR

With over 20+ years of experience implementing effective practices and building successful and productive HR teams from scratch to success, Veronica is accomplished in transforming inefficient departments, streamlining staff management, and improving recruitment & retention methods.

Before joining The Barton Group, Veronica was HR Director at Knight Aerospace and acted as the HR Manager for several other companies such as Reyes Automotive, Pro-Vigil Surveillance Systems, Ricos Products Co, Inc., and Conceptual MindWorks, Inc.. In these previous positions, Veronica worked alongside senior management to identify staffing and training needs and to develop pay for performance merit systems.  This inspired their teams to drive their success with learning next level roles and demonstrating proficiency, thereby building a strong support team for the company.

Veronica is excited to shape the employee experience at The Barton Group from day one and foster a positive company culture that will set the foundation for future growth. Her expertise in establishing HR practices and policies will directly affect areas such as recruitment, retention, employee satisfaction, and overall company health—which will ultimately impact the employee experience for years to come.

When she’s out of the office, Veronica can be found brainstorming her next home improvement project, traveling with her significant other to visit her two daughters, or finding a great country music concert.
